I just had a major name carpet cleaner do my house. They did a nice job and the carpet looked good. Just for fun I did the living room the next day and the return water looked like coffee! This is a great machine and I give it 5 stars!

Purchased this model from Amazon in March 2010. Four months later and after only using it two times for a small room each time, I am calling support. The tank leaks between the solution tank and the water tank contaminating the fresh water with the expensive solution. When I called Hoover, first they tried to get me to buy a tank. I told them I would return the unit before I spent any more money on it. Then they told me that they redesigned the tank and as a courtesy, they would send one replacement tank out for free. On a positive note, the stair or hand held cleaner with rotating brussels works quite well. There is a lot of engineering that has been put into this unit to make it what it is today. If they would invest in a little more quality during the manufacturing process, the complaints would dramatically be reduced and customer service would not be as busy. Buy with caution and keep Hoovers customer support number close by.

I had a Bissell Pro Heat and thought it did a good job until I bought this Hoover. The suction beats Bissell hands down. You can actually feel the force of the suction when you are using it. I have two dogs and a couple of cats and this really pulls up the hair. It also did a good job at getting out some old pet stains. Many of the reviews talked about the plastic parts. I don't think there are anymore than the Bissell. The only small negative I have, and the reason for it not getting 5 stars is that the reservoir does fill up fast. You do find yourself stopping often to empty. But, for me this was insignificant considering the wonderful job it does. I clean my carpets once a month with the Hoover and hopefully will not need a professional cleaner to come to my house. I think I am doing just as good a job as what he did.

I did alot of research on carpet cleaners and after using this one I'm very happy. It did a great job and it was reasonably priced plus I got free shipping in one day. We have three dogs and live on a farm, I was skeptical but my carpeting looks great again. THANKS AMAZON!!

THIS IS A GREAT CLEANER, I WOULD BUY THIS ONE AGAIN!!!!
IT CLEANS MY CARPET IN ONE PASS TWO IF YOUR PICKY, I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO PRE-SPOT CLEAN MY CARPET FIRST. AND I LOVE THAT IT IS A WIDE TRACK, I FINISH IN HALF THE TIME.
