| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Protect either mattress or box spring. Bed bug and dust mite infestations are serious problems that can cause a variety of health concerns including asthma, eczema and allergies. Aller-Zip mattress and box spring encasements provide an effective barrier to infestation. Because treatments can't reach the core of an already infected mattress and box spring, they usually need to be disposed of - but no longer. Aller-Zip protects your mattress investment and most importantly, your health. Its cotton, terry-cloth fabric toplayer is soft and comfortable under your sheets. Guaranteed against leaks or tears for 10 years or the factory will replace at no cost. (Twin Size: 38x75 in., Fits bedding 7 to 12 in. High) Wash before use for best results. Do not bleach or dry clean.

| Customer Reviews: Zippered bedding encasement June 28, 2010 M. Johnson 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Have bad dustmite allergy. Encasement helps a lot. Less expensive encasements are completely plastic so it seems as though I was sleeping in a sauna. On this encasement the top is quilted fabric--not plastic--so is like sleeping on a cotton mattress pad.
A good buy June 8, 2010 HouseWifeMe (Las Vegas, NV) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Had a small Bed bug infestation and had to buy encasements for boxsprings and mattresses. I bought some online from another company but didn't like the quality and stitching- got my money back and found these instead. This is a great quality product! I like the fact that it comes with mini zip ties for the zip loop to keep the mattress cover very secure and not accidentally open. It's totally waterproof and the terry cloth top is a good idea- helps prevent the sweats!
Only con I can think of: the size for my twin is a little baggy, not a glove fit like I thought, but it's not too noticeable.
I highly recommend these encasements.
High quality - nice feel - does the job December 24, 2009 Phillip L. Jones (Orange County, CA) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have been diagnosed with dust mite allergies and advised to cover my mattress and box-spring. I am very satisfied with this item. I was concerned it would be like something from a hospital rather than a hotel. I am relieved that it is very much like the latter: satin, high quality, upscale.
The installation instructions are comprehensive and easy to follow. The zipper goes all the way round which makes things easier - it certainly glides very smoothly. For all those like me who prefer to buy things made in the USA you will be as disappointed as I was to know that the tag says MADE IN CHINA.
Two negative comments: the warranty reads like a legal agreement - not sure they ever want (or are obligated) to honor their 10 year commitment. Also their literature says that only 70% of bed bugs live in the mattress - you could buy this product and still have other things to do to remedy your situation
Exactly What I Needed December 16, 2009 flirtaciousboi (NYC) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I had a small bed bug infestation and I took care of it. I used the cans as well as sprays to get rid of them and it did the trick. I needed a mattress protection in case they ever come back. I looked on Amazon and found this item.
I bought two of these as I have two twin size beds. I have 2 different twin mattresses: one is higher than the other. The encasement fit both mattresses easily. I followed the instructions to wash them and they're easy to clean. I put them in the washer and then put them in the dryer just for a little while. I hung them to fully dry them. I put them on and they are definitely waterproof. When you have a bedsheet over them and sleep over it, you don't hear any noises or sound from the friction of the sheet and encasement. There is a terry-cloth topping on the encasement so it prevents the movement. I haven't had any bed bugs since (and I hope I never will again) so I can't say if they keep them out of the mattress, but it seems like it definitely would keep them out.
