4 out of 5 stars good iron   July 29, 2010
Susan K. Franz (Hot Springs Village, AR)
This iron works very well. I do notice that it doesn't get as hot as my old one but maybe they have some regulation about that. The old one was almost 20 years old. I have not tried the steam yet but am considering doing that to help get the wrinkles out since it doesn't get real hot.

One thing I would mention to the manufacturer is that the retract button for the cord is located right where the palm of your hand hits when pushing the iron around. Viola! Cord all gone! I'll get used to it but they really should reconsider the placement of that button. Other than that, it irons...what more can you ask for???

4 out of 5 stars Gets the wrinkles out   July 25, 2010
    Kent (Irvine, CA)
This is a a great iron. It's fairly lightweight and easy to manage. The removable water tank is a great feature and make it easy to add and remove water without having to carry the entire iron to the sink. The cord management system adds bulk to the iron, but it makes the unit much easier to put away. It did take some time to warm up, but once it was warmed up it was ready to go. The steam function is strong and just about the right amount. The spray nozzle also does the job.

3 out of 5 stars Okay iron   July 24, 2010

I purchased this iron based on the many great reviews. For me, this iron is okay. I like that the water tank removes for filling, and that it has a retractable cord. It does take longer than my old iron to heat up. My last one was ready to go as soon as you turned it on; you have to wait until the indicator light goes off before this one is ready. This iron does produce a generous amount of steam. Although, I have not tried using it for vertical steaming yet. This iron is also kind of noisy with all the steam it produces. I have never noticed irons being noisy until this one. It's not really bothersome, just something that is noticeable. All in all, it's an okay iron. It does its job of getting wrinkles out well. I wouldn't purchase it again though.

5 out of 5 stars This iron floats across clothing!   July 24, 2010
    Oscar Meyer
Maybe it's because my old iron kept getting black gunk stuck on it and was hard to slide, but the first time I used this iron it slid so effortlessly over cloths that it felt like it was almost floating! I had 6 irons in my life and never had one that glided so well. A retractable cord is a must for me. I bought a hair dryer with a retractable cord and it seems to be more of a pain the butt than anything, but definiately great to have on an iron.
